Understanding the pattern changed everything.
I spent years helping people understand their health and wellbeing. I understood hormones, physiology and sleep.
But my own sleep story started much earlier.
The night sweats first appeared after having my son. Years later, as perimenopause arrived, they returned again — only this time they stayed.
Suddenly I was waking at 3am drenched in sweat, changing pyjamas, washing sheets and wondering why none of the advice I found seemed to fit what I was experiencing. Some nights, I was sleeping on a towel just to avoid changing the sheets again.
What frustrated me most wasn't the lack of information. It was the lack of practical solutions. Most advice treated night sweats and wake-ups as isolated symptoms, not part of a pattern.
So I started tracking.
I discovered my wake window. I identified my triggers. And for the first time, I stopped feeling blindsided by my nights and started working with them.
